I've read that awesome piece of book that Jennifer Scales and the Ancient Furnace is, and I enjoyed it. But I remain with one interrogation.
I can see some difference between dashers, creepers and tramplers, but what are the mainly difference (physical, abilities)?

Thanks for answering me, it would help me to write a fan-story.

Well here is what i could gather from the books:
dashers:
can shoot sparks form their "pronged"(meaning kinda like spikes at the end of their tails) tails and have specail abilities that you will learn of later in the other books. Are good flyers but not like the creepers.

Tramplers:
can do turf whomping and can call lizards. They also have a wing span that is to short so they can only glide for certain time. They also have secial abilities that you learn of later.

Creepers:
Have the awsome ability to change the color of their skin and to use it as camoflouge. The are excelent flyers but are used for stealth. I believe that they have disticntive nose horns too. I am not sure i have heard any specail abilities for this one yet....

I hope that helps...

EDIT: if anyone else have informations about creepers, it would help me, because the main character is one... Thanks! Smile

Okay regaurding their camoflouge. They shnge their skin and then lay in kinda like a bush formation or a pile of leafs with their body. They have that distinctive nose horn and obviously have that secret ability, but i cant tell you unless i know if you have read the other books. They are used pretty much for steal and they are the best flyers. Their tails i guess arent as prongged but the have excelent vision. Their is gonna be more info in the fourth book coming out so i am stumped until then.

A little bit more, in the interests of confirming the above and also teasing a bit for the future:

DASHERS are about the tail, and electricity. Any young dasher can be pretty deadly with its tail; the more prongs a dasher's lucky to have (two is typical, and three is strong), the better. Being spoiler-sensitive here, you get a good look at an elder ability in SILVER MOON ELM (and then you catch a glimpse of what happens when MANY elders do it in SERAPH OF SORROW).

TRAMPLERS are about the claws, and other beasts. Any young trampler should be able to pull a small reptile out of the ground, what exactly shows up is a matter of practice/luck/temperament. Again, we see an elder ability in SILVER MOON ELM. Some interesting tweaks on both basic and elder abilities show up in SERAPH.

CREEPERS are about the scales, and perception. Young tramplers can camouflage. Bushy terrain helps, but the better ones (like Jonathan Scales) don't necessarily need it. This basic skill, and an elder creeper skill "to be revealed", play HUGE roles in SERAPH OF SORROW.

All dragons in this universe can do the basics: firebreathing and flying (though as noted, tramplers have a harder time of it than others). Whether there are more skills out there, and/or if Jennifer has more powers as the Ancient Furnace... Smile

Hope this helps,
Anthony & MaryJanice

Another question: Is there specific colors for each types of weredragons? If so, is there some cases that the color is not the specific one?

The creepers tend toward purple, the tramplers toward green, the dashers toward blue (with bright colors under their wings) - but this is not absolute. For example - Xavier Longtail, an elder dasher, is virtually entirely black.

Also, note that because creepers can camouflage, they can technically be any color they would like.
